Kenny Stokes received Christ at the age of eight years old in Glencoe, Oklahoma. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to Duluth, Georgia. During his middle school and high school years, he was heavily involved in music, eventually culminating in his acceptance to Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps.
Although now a graduate of Luther Rice University, Kenny first attended Johnson Bible College, Milligan Christian College, and Atlanta Christian College. In 1998 he was ordained as a minister of the Gospel at West Gwinnett Christian Church in Duluth, Georgia. Kenny met Tracy at Atlanta Christian College, and they were married in 1991. Although he worked in the professional sector for 12 years (Unisys & First Nation Bank) after their marriage, he continually served in the local church.
During his full-time employment from 1991–2003, Kenny served in various ministries including: leading worship and youth ministry. After serving a number of years in lay-ministry, he accepted a full-time position as Associate Pastor at Bethel Christian Church in Conyers, Georgia. He continues to serve Bethel today as a bi-vocational pastor. Kenny completed his 13th year of service as of January 2016. Although he holds a Masters of Arts in Apologetics degree, he is currently working on his M.Div. degree at Luther Rice University & Seminary.
Today, he serves as Associate Pastor including: teaching the Bible, leading the worship team, directing the RCYS ministry, directs office affairs, and provides management, and direction, for the great variety of ministries and activities of Bethel Christian Church.
